It seems the curses are coming more slowly, this month. Not a complaint, by any means, just an observation. Still, it makes you wonder what's in store for tomorrow.

She nodded an answer to his question, watching him. "No, you can, if you want to."

He pulled her in, giving her a gentle kiss and threading his fingers through the hair at her temples.

"Thank you, sweetheart. I couldn't ask for anything else."

He pried the ring free from its case and pressed it into her hands. He wanted her to do the honors.

She took the ring and slid it onto his ring finger, kissing him as it slid home. Her fingers moved to twine with his as she pulled back a little.

"... always, Reeve."

He returned the kiss deeply, his lips playing over hers. He kept their hands linked together and slid his other arm around her, keeping her close to his chest.

"Always."

Smudge, obviously disgusted that her humans weren't paying attention to her anymore, mrr'd at both of them and sauntered off, followed by her little white shadow.

Anita didn't even bother to look at them, even if she chuckled softly.

He laughed as well, holding her closer. "I think we've been abandoned."

"She's just mad you're getting all my attention right now. Mercy just happens to like following her around since he has fun doing it."

Still grinning, she laid her head on his shoulder.

"I like August."

He laughed, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "She had best learn to handle it. I fully intend on stealing your attention increasingly as time goes on."

He let his hands roam over her, gently stroking her stomach and sides with long, easy strokes.

"I'm glad."

His touch verged right on the edge of being ticklish, but Anita just stretched against him like a warm cat.

"Alright. Early August it is. Dates in mind?"

He smiled and pressed a kiss to the corner of her neck.

"I hadn't thought that deeply about it. I believe weekends are traditional."

She was too lazy at the moment to start picking dates in her head, so she just tilted her head a little, humming.

"We're not exactly traditional, Reeve."

Her fingers started stroking over his.

"Alright... where would we have it?"

"Thank goodness." He grinned a little, definitely thinking not-so-pg thoughts about the night before.

"Outside, maybe? Take advantage of the weather? Xanadu will be in bloom, then..."

His comment drew a raised eyebrow from Anita. She'd ask but she's not sure she should. With a chuckle and a shake of her head, she idly poked at his hand.

"You haven't been to Xanadu lately, then. It's in bloom now. Someone did some hocus-pocus on it. I do think the weather will be good then, though."

He laughed, kissing her gently. "Well, then it will be in bloom an we'll be in the mood to enjoy it because our feet won't be covered in snow."

He shook his head, tugging a little on a lock of hair. "You are allowed to voice an opinion, love, you know."

She poked his hand again.

"I know, I know, I just... don't know about all this stuff. I do know that summers are hot back home and honestly, August where I come from is brutal. That being said, summers here are hot, but not as humid, for one thing."

He caught her hand in his, tipping it so he can see the ring glittering on her finger.

"You'd rather be inside? That's fine. We can find somewhere."

She'd planned on harrassing him a bit more, but the sight of the ring on her finger made her pause, smiling almost shyly.

"I didn't say that. Like I said, summers here aren't like in St. Louis. It'd get humid enough there that you felt like you'd been rained on after being outside for half an hour."

He chuckled, pressing kisses to her neck and squeezing her hand.

"We can have the reception at Lux. I'm sure Niko won't mind."

"He'll be put out, all of us using Lux for personal parties and crap."

The kisses to her neck could become distracting, but she still leans back closer, humming happily.

"Lestat told me he's getting me something to wear. God knows what. I'll end up in lace or something."

He shook his head, pressing a kiss to her lips. "It's good for business, and I think he secretly likes it."

He keeps it soft, nuzzling the skin gently.

"I'm sure Lestat knows you well enough to select something stunning." Maybe he should have a few words with the vampire. Just in case.

"I'll shoot him if it's poofy, or if I can't carry something when I'm wearing it."

Only Anita would plan her weaponry for her wedding day.

He's thinking the same thing, but he knows her too well to protest. He laughs softly, nuzzling the soft skin at her neck.

"You'll be stunning, sweetheart. You are already."

"I quess I need to find bridesmaids, too. Goood, this is so complicated."

"I asked Vincent to be my best man. We can fight over Cloud."

He rested his chin against her shoulder, smiling a little. "We could just elope. I'm beginning to see why many couples consider that option."

Anita paused a moment, head tilted, then cracked up.

"... sorry... sorry.. But... the thought of Cloud in a dress...."

The laughter smothered into giggles.
