Vincent, I need to speak with you. When you have a moment.

It seems the curses are coming more slowly, this month. Not a complaint, by any means, just an observation. Still, it makes you wonder what's in store for tomorrow.

He shook his head, pressing a kiss to her lips. "It's good for business, and I think he secretly likes it."

He keeps it soft, nuzzling the skin gently.

"I'm sure Lestat knows you well enough to select something stunning." Maybe he should have a few words with the vampire. Just in case.

"I'll shoot him if it's poofy, or if I can't carry something when I'm wearing it."

Only Anita would plan her weaponry for her wedding day.

He's thinking the same thing, but he knows her too well to protest. He laughs softly, nuzzling the soft skin at her neck.

"You'll be stunning, sweetheart. You are already."

"I quess I need to find bridesmaids, too. Goood, this is so complicated."

"I asked Vincent to be my best man. We can fight over Cloud."

He rested his chin against her shoulder, smiling a little. "We could just elope. I'm beginning to see why many couples consider that option."

Anita paused a moment, head tilted, then cracked up.

"... sorry... sorry.. But... the thought of Cloud in a dress...."

The laughter smothered into giggles.

"You're right, your color wheels are too different. It could never work." He managed to keep his face straight as he said it, and waited to catch her breath before leaning in to kiss her slowly.

"Would you prefer that, love? We could just go, now. We don't even have to tell anyone."

That just made her laugh even more. It took a long moment for her to catch her breath, but the kiss helped settle her some.

His next words, however, didn't.

She went still, an odd expression on her face.

".... in some ways, yeah, but... I didn't get a wedding last time, and I don't think I'll ever marry back home. I... don't think I'll live long enough."

His arms closed tighter around her at those words. She knew as long as he was here he would put himself between her and anyone who threatened her.

"This is supposed to be your day, love. Whatever you want goes. You know that, right?"

Her hands moved to rest on his encircling arms.

"... I just want you."

"You have me. Forever." He pressed a kiss to her cheek, drawing her closer.

"So whatever's down the list after that."

She smiled a little at his declaration, leaning against him.

"... I should ask Lestat to be my Maid of Honor... or would it be dishonor in his case? He's really not much of a maid either..."

"He looks much better in a dress," Reeve agreed, nuzzling into her neck. He just wanted to keep her close.

"It's the hair. Cloud's is too spiky."

Her head tipped a little, letting his lips roam as they wanted to.

"And lavender washes him out."

He pulled back just enough before they got carried away, even though he was still ready for more, even after last night.

That earned him a swat.

"... it won't be lavender or any soft pastel crap like that."

He laughed, catching her hand and pressing a kiss to it.

"Sweetheart, you can dress everyone in lemon yellow and I'll still be there."

She shot him a look, even if she could barely keep a straight face.

"You better be there. Wouldn't be much of a wedding without the groom. Besides, yellow that bright would wash Lestat and Cloud both out."

He nodded. "You're right, yellow's out. Maybe pink."

His smile turned wicked and he caught her hands pre-emptively, before she could smack him.

"Pink?! No way!"

Sure enough, just as she was about to start poking him again, her hands were captured. Laughing, she wriggled back against him.

"Heeey, that's no fair."

He laughed, catching her and holding her in. Which only has the added benefit that now she's wriggling in his lap.

"How is it not?"

She paused, leaning her head back enough to kiss his cheek.

"Because I say it's not?"

He tilted her chin towards him, catching the kiss on his lips and returning it softly.

"What about afterwords?" It's not like they can have a proper honeymoon, but he's sure Niko will give them some time off.

"What do you mean?"

Her eyes were locked on him now.

He smiled, brushing his knuckles down her cheek.

"I believe there's a time just after the ceremony we're supposed to spend locked away in our bedroom, making love for hours on end. Which I'm not sure is all that different from our normal weekends, but tradition demands."

He regrets that he can't take her on a real honeymoon, somewhere far away and exotic. But he'll settle for what they can have.
