In the end, they had compromised -- Reeve kept everyone out of 11-12's way while he went under. As a result, he didn't know what, if anything, his lover had discussed with the projections of 909 and his mother that were trapped in his memories. He hoped it had been healing, but he didn't want to pry into his lover's business.

Back home that night, Reeve made both of them coffee, giving 11-12 some space if he wanted to stay with his thoughts.

11-12 did indeed look thoughtful and was quiet for the majority of the time he'd been back.

He gave Reeve a soft smile and said a thanks as he accepted the coffee. He didn't drink any yet though, continuing to look contemplative.

Still thinking, then. Reeve sighed, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek and going into the office. Of course, he would allow 11-12 as much space as he needed, but that wouldn't stop Reeve from worrying.

It wasn't long before 11-12 followed him.

"Reeve? Are you all right?"

"Of course." Reeve smiled and scooted over on te couch, making room for the young man. "How are you?"

He sat beside Reeve and rested his head on the older man's shoulder.

"Fine. I mean... it was strange but... I think it's better."

[urbandev]

"I'm glad." He smiled slightly at 11-12, kissing his cheek and sliding an arm around him. "I'm glad to see you here."

"Did you think I wouldn't be? Did you think I'd get... lost in the dreams...?" His voice was quiet and he cuddled against Reeve, enjoying his warmth.

He'd worried, but that wasn't what he meant.

"You've been... absent, these past few weeks."

[number1112]

"You mean in here?" He tapped the side of his own head.

[urbandev]

"Mmmhmm."

Reeve responds to the motion by kissing the place he tapped. "I missed you."

[number1112]

"I'm sorry to make you worry and for being distant," he wrapped his arms tighter around Reeve and moved in to give his lips a light kiss. Even if still thoughtful he was more relaxed now.

"It's alright."

Reeve wouldn't press him on what had happened, holding him tightly and pressing another kiss to his lips.

"Thank you for letting me do that. It helped," he paused then continued. "It helped clear my mind."

[urbandev]

"I'm glad."

Reeve had been worried about his lover. He settled 11-12 into his arms, holding him against his chest.

"And I love you."

[number1112]

11-12 sighed and smiled as he rested his head comfortably on Reeve's shoulder. "I love you too. So much."

After a beat he added. "I think everything is going to be alright."

That was absolutely the best thing he could have said.

"Good."

[number1112]

He smiled more and tilted his head up for another kiss.

[urbandev]

Reeve returned the kiss all too willingly, settling 11-12 into his lap.

Pressing close againt Reeve, he kisses him eagerly, making encouraging sounds.

[urbandev]

Reeve knew all too well what those sounds meant. He laughed, stroking his hands through 11-12's hair and slowing the kiss slightly. Not yet.

"You are feeling better."

[number1112]

"Yes. Very much," he smiles and snuggles into him.

Then his expression sobers a bit. "You want me, don't you? I mean - here, with you."

Of course, love. Don't doubt that.

[He presses a kiss to 11-12's cheek.]

"Mmm. I don't.

But did you have work you need to do?"

[urbandev]

"No. I'm all yours for the night."

Reeve had made sure to clear his schedule, uncertain of how their "experiment" would go.

"Good," he leans in for a gentler kiss. "Do you know how much I love you?"

[urbandev]

"Yes, I do," Reeve murmured, tugging him into his arms and returning the kiss gently.

[number1112]

"You make me feel warm and safe and loved," 11-12 says thoughtfully, very happy in those arms.

[urbandev]

"I'm glad. That is my intention." He smiled down at him, pressing a kiss to his nose.

[number1112]

"Then you are a complete success," he smiled back.

[urbandev]

"Glad to hear it." He drew 11-12 closer and kissed his forehead.

[number1112]

He sighed softly. "I could stay here like this forever."

[urbandev]

"Maybe you can," He laughed, nuzzling. "But my legs are going to fall asleep."

[number1112]

11-12 chuckled. "We can change position sometimes..."

[urbandev]

Reeve smiled into his hair, squeezing him.

"I'm glad to hear you laughing, love."

[number1112]

"I didn't mean to make you worry."

[urbandev]

"It's allright." He pressed a kiss against 11-12's forehead and pulled him in.

[number1112]

"But it's not. It was unfair of me to dwell on a past I can't change. I can accept it and move on and hope that everything is better for the people I hurt - I never want to hurt you too."

[urbandev]

Reeve pressed a kiss to his cheek, smiling as he ran his hand through 11-12's hair.

"You haven't."

[number1112]

11-12 looks at him for a long moment as if weighing up that answer.

Then he rests his head in the crook of Reeve's shoulder.

"How did I end up being so lucky?"

[urbandev]

"Not lucky," Reeve corrected, nuzzling into his hair. "You deserve to be happy, sweetheart."

"If I hadn't met you I would never have been happy."
