Alright. So we'll park the Fox down here by the waterfront and then fan out. Yuffie, Vincent, there should be enough cover on the beach for you to bring your teams around and flank them. No matter how well organized this outbreak is, we outnumber them. So we knock this out, mop up, and be back to our wives and children before dinner.

[Pauses as though listening to someone else speak.]

I require at least a year's notice before you procreate, Yuffie, so that I can retire and leave the city. Maybe the Planet.

And try not to destroy family houses, this time, people. This is Junon, they're a little touchy about that.

-- Oh.

Where...? not Junon.

Vincent? Yuffie?

She's gone.

At least it's over. Until the next wretched curse, of course. I understand there's an Earth holiday coming up, I'm sure the city will rise to the occasion.

Niko, I'll definitely be in today.

[OOC: What hiatus?

In the first line, he means this. Log still in progress.]

[The sound of someone rolling over in bed, then the slap of that person hitting someone else, and a resounding thud as someone tumbles to the floor.]

"Who --?!"

"I could ask you the same question, but I think the answer is fairly self-evident."

"This is awkward."

"Also self-evident."

"How did I get here? Has anyone seen a small girl, about twelve, Wutaiian--"

"More importantly, where is here?"

"Will all of you please calm down? I think I know what's going on. This is my apartment."

"If you could explain?"

"Old me. You have coffee, where is it?"

"In the kitchen. And never mind. Just -- all of you sit here. You'll be gone by midnight. I hope."

"Coffee sounds divine."

"Don't go out there!"

"I really have to find my daughter. You have no idea the trouble she gets into on her own."

"What, you're going to lock us all in here? Not likely. I don't get paid vacation."

"I, also, have work that needs to be attended to."

"You'll all be home tonight, just stay put. I don't want anyone seeing you. Me. Us."

"Twelve hours? I can't leave her alone that long."

"Yes, well, I'm getting coffee. And then a cigarette. And then I'm getting out of here. Other old me, coming?"

"Absolutely. You really shouldn't smoke, you know."

[And this would be the sound of half the voices fading, footsteps, and helpless sputtering.]
[Tentatively.] "I suppose some coffee couldn't really hurt."

"Probably not." [A sigh.] "After you, then. You have a daughter?"

"Well, adopted. She's an orphan from the war. Her name is Yuffie."

[And that sound you hear is either Reeve shutting the door or banging his head against it.]

[OOC: There are slight differences among the voices, predominantly age, but they all sound pretty much the same. Have a Reeve. In fact, for today, have four. Full explanation under the cut. )

[OOC NOTE: Today, of all days, LJ comment notification craps out. I'll try not to drop any tags.]

I miss Yuffie. I want her to come back even though she's better off where she is. I miss her.

...I remember this curse.

No matter. I miss Yuffie. And I'm sick of pretending like everything's fine when she's gone.

[OOC: Reeve = cursed. Reeve's primary thought pattern right now veers along the path of -- well, I think you can guess.]
urbandev: (been living for tomorrows all my life)
//Charming, Reeve. The unmistakable sound of someone being noisily, and thoroughly, ill.//

//Hoarsely//

NOT my daughter. Or anything else sick you'd like to throw at us, Deities.

[ooc 1: retconned liek woah

ooc 2:I'm on my mother's micro pc, which has no html brackets, so plz excuse the creative formatting.]

The last few curses appear to have missed me. Not altogether unfortunate, especially in the case of yesterday. I tried to stay off the network for the most part -- some things don't need to be aired to the general public. Is everyone recovered?

I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know
Love could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done

(I'm sorry) I'm sorry
(So sorry) So sorry
Please accept my apology
But love is blind
And I was to blind to see
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

I'm sorry, so sorry
Please accept my apology
But love was blind
And I was too blind to see
(Sorry)

[OOC: Yeah, directly in response to this.]

I admit, I made a wish. It's what you're meant to do on the first of the month, isn't it?

I feel rather silly, but there you go. I believe my mother used to have a saying, something about wishes and fishes... Anyway, it's not like it could hurt.

[OOC: Reeve's only wish is for Yuffie to come home safe. I don't see how that could possibly go wrong, whut?.]

That clock has ticked 13,295 times since I woke up this morning. Even the cats can't make it stop.

Oh, Gaia, the cats. I should go scoop their litter box again. And maybe wipe down the counter around their food bowl.

I saw black and white yesterday, but seemed otherwise unaffected by the anachronism. I gather it was some sort of television program?

I wonder what universes the City pulls its curses from, with so many overlapping... Cetra help us if we all have to spend the day in a scene from Loveless*.

[OOC: He means this Loveless, not this Loveless.]
